In April 2008, Blair and Nikki and sons Oscar and Charlie relocated from the family property Wootton to Vantage Hill.
Richardson Eventing headquarters is now the well-appointed equine property Vantage Hill on Middlebrook Road in Scone.
The property has commanding views of the Hunter Valley and is adjacent to Scone Racecourse, which has excellent amenities including an equine swimming pool—an ideal location for Richardson Eventing to expand into pre-training, breaking and educating thoroughbred racehorses.
Blair and Nikki have built a 60m x 40m arena boasting state-of-the-art Capricorn soiltex surfacing.
Vantage Hill is an 85 acre property which features 25 under cover yards, 20 stables, 8 bay horse walker, 800m sand training track with barriers, and 4 rubber lined round yards.
"With the creek flowing through the property we are able to get all the young horses used to water and there are flats on the other side of the creek to take pre-trainers for a good canter," Nikki says.
Vantage Hill is less than five minutes from Scone township and major thoroughbred nurseries such as Darley, Arrowfield, and Vinery.
As well as managing a flourishing pre-training business, the move has ensured Blair and Nikki's popularity for individual lessons and clinics in dressage, show-jumping and cross-country, and short and long-term training for horses at all stages continues to increase.
Both Blair and Nikki actively compete at Australia's elite equestrian competitions and are highly respected by their peers.
The Richardsons are seen as role models by emerging junior athletes who can gain from Blair and Nikki's experience and ability by participating in private lessons and clinics conducted throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, as well as at Vantage Hill, where the arena is proving ideal.
